You believe that technological advancements and innovations can solve humanity's problems and lead to a better, more sustainable future.
Technocentrism is a political ideology that places a high value on technology and its ability to function as an agent of social and political change. It is a perspective that views technology as the primary driver of human progress and societal transformation. Technocentrists believe that technological innovation can solve most, if not all, of our problems, including those related to the economy, environment, and social issues. They argue that the advancement of technology will inevitably lead to a better, more efficient, and more equitable world.
The origins of technocentrism can be…

How do you feel about the possibility of robots and AI becoming your future coworkers?
I dislike having jobs taken from humans, factory jobs and production lines were always a stable job that anyone could apply to that is now totally automated.
@9KJCYVL2mos2MO
Where are we, humans, meant to work if AI takes all of the jobs? If we advance AI (which we shouldn't) to the point where they can do our jobs for us, then how do we earn an income, that takes so many jobs away from people who need them just for the sake of innovation.
@9KBHY69Republican3mos3MO
I do not feel good about that I would not like to work with a robot
@9KBHSWY3mos3MO
I think it could be a good and bad thing, not all AI’s are correct.
@9KBHH6G3mos3MO
I definitely don’t like it at all and feel like the world is going down hill with all of the technology being added.
@ISIDEWITH3mos3MO
Discuss a time when a technology you rely on failed, and how you managed without it.
@9KBLBW83mos3MO
Whenever my phone goes out and it doesn't work, I just don't use my phone.
@9KJZQWB2mos2MO
While technology is useful to us, it is still incredibly new, it evolves quickly yes but it is still susceptible to failure. "Don't put all your eggs in one basket." We need to learn to adapt and stay malleable in times where technology fails us.
@9KBLP2QPeace and Freedom3mos3MO
There was a time when my phone died when i was doing an animation project. I simply watched television until the phone got fixed.
@9KBLD8B3mos3MO
when the wi-fi was out at school and couldn't use any teconology so we had to improvise.

How could technology play a role in preserving cultural heritage or traditions?
@9KBPDVBWomen’s Equality3mos3MO
Technology can play a role, by showing cultural heritage and traditions being done online, so people become more interested.
By documenting them, archiving them, and promoting their awareness and ease of access.
@9KBP2MR3mos3MO
Creating cultural heritage sites to promote indigenous culture.
@9KBPDXB 3mos3MO
By sharing it across global platforms and keeping it alive through video and digital record.
@ISIDEWITH3mos3MO
How has a piece of technology impacted your favorite hobby, and do you think it changed it for the better?
@9K9JCWFWomen’s Equality3mos3MO
Yes just since the world is involving but I am still able to connect with my culture on my reservations.
@9K9HDQ8Republican3mos3MO
It has made it easier to learn new skills. It has neither changed for the better or the worse.
@9K9H98L3mos3MO
With my phone, i can delve more into my hobby and interests.
Technology has helped the world progress and make millions of things in the world far easier to access.
@ISIDEWITH4mos4MO
What fears or hopes do you have about technology's role in future education and career opportunities?
@9JB3Q5X4mos4MO
I fear that technology would cover up Pastafarianism and it would come to an end
@9JBJN8Z4mos4MO
It's essential to navigate the integration of technology in education and career opportunities thoughtfully, addressing these concerns and leveraging the benefits to create a more inclusive and innovative learning environment.
@9JB56G94mos4MO
technology is both good and bad for teaching, everyone has their own way of learning and truly, that should be recognized, for example, with me, just give me some sort of instructions and tell me what to do, and I can try to replicate the answer my own way to the best of my abilities with no help, my friend, you kinda have to sit him down and teach him exactly what it is, show it to him, and show the process in order for him to get it
@ISIDEWITH3mos3MO
What's one problem you face that you wish technology could solve instantly, and how would it change your life?
@9K9ZPKTPeace and Freedom3mos3MO
I wish it could find ways to produce more food, clothes, cures, and things like that from recyclable materials to give to countries that are suffering.
@9K9P4R63mos3MO
Seeing people online that are clearly not right on the head using the internet freely spreading negativity and effecting others.
@9K9N9NW3mos3MO
Maybe just day to day life problems, like when you feel sick you and can’t have an appointment you can use technology to figure out what’s wrong with you.
@ISIDEWITH4mos4MO
What personal challenges do you hope technology will solve in the future?
@9JFLS9X4mos4MO
everything I feel they need to get to working and stop trying to be sneaky and hid stuff from the world and start working on what really needs fixing .
@9JFM8Z44mos4MO
Technocentrism must be balanced by human perspectives. Technology has no soul and relies purely on reason. While reason is important, human emotion is also important and must balance out technology.
@9JFLSQ54mos4MO
Illegal immigration, currency issues, and security in general
@ISIDEWITH4mos4MO
Reflect on how your cultural background shapes your view of technological advancements.
@9JSJB223mos3MO
I am comfortable and encourage the advancements of technology, but I believe we, as a society, should be fearful to advance technology into a realm beyond our control.
@9JSH86ZRepublican3mos3MO
im used to using technology very often so i would say im technocentric
i think technology use should be reduced but online safety should be upped
@ISIDEWITH3mos3MO
Recall a situation where technology helped you make a meaningful connection with someone.
@9K94R62Peace and Freedom3mos3MO
Being younger and knowing how to use technology helps me connect with people who are older and don't know how to use technology, for example, my grandparents
@9K94NHV3mos3MO
How about we take Bikini Bottom… and push it… somewhere else???
@9K94CD43mos3MO
Technology helped me make a meaningful connection with someone when it's someone like my friends which I always speak to online.
@ISIDEWITH6mos6MO
If a new technology could solve an important problem but put people out of work, would you support its implementation?
@9H5DCPWIndependent6mos6MO
I would implement it because it can open up more opporutnities. While the current jobs may be taken away, due to the problem being solved a new wave of jobs may arise.
@9H5DR4WRepublican6mos6MO
Yes. If it can get people out of dangerous jobs and protect our people then I support it.
@9H5DGDY 6mos6MO
I would support slowly integrating it into society
@9H5HPV5Independent6mos6MO
Not all progress is good, however technologies must be contextualized within a culture. If the culture cannot incorporate the new technology without causing undue harm, that culture may need to avoid adopting the technology or risk unforeseen consequences. In the past, technological innovations have changed labor, both for the good and for evil. The cotton gin increased demand for slave labor until society was able to find an alternative and force a change. Automation and robotics both reduced the number of manufacturing jobs while also increasing safety and quality. It isn't inhere… Read more
