You believe that a strong state-directed economy can achieve social and economic goals more effectively than a laissez-faire market system.
Dirigisme is a political ideology that advocates for a strong, directive role of the state in the economy. It is characterized by a mixed economy, where both the private sector and the state direct the economy, although the state has the upper hand. The ideology is rooted in the belief that the state, through its regulatory powers, can effectively guide economic growth and development. This is achieved through a range of state interventions, including planning, nationalization of key industries, and the implementation of various economic policies.
The term "dirigisme" is of…

How do you think having the government as the main provider of healthcare would affect your family and you?
@9HK8TFR6mos6MO
they must have the benefit of high-quality health care services that are effectively coordinated within a strong public health system.
@9HK95ZYPeace and Freedom6mos6MO
I think the main affect would be the fact the government can alter the prices whenever their in a bad position
@9HK8MC6Women’s Equality6mos6MO
I think it would be better for me, as my mother can't afford any of my billings to pay for my health care, and I have to take many medications at the age of 17. I have a job but I am not able to afford it either.
@9HK8PNB6mos6MO
I don't think the government should be involved in healthcare or that we should pay for healthcare it should be free.
@ISIDEWITH3mos3MO
How might the general health of the population be impacted if the government was the sole provider of food and controlled diet standards?
@9KBB923Republican3mos3MO
The govt would be in full control and that's not what we want.
@9KBBXBG3mos3MO
It will be more growth people will be able to n do more things instead of worrying bout bills sand groceries
@9KBBDRBLibertarian3mos3MO

How would you expect public trust to shift if the government provided all-news broadcasting?
@9L4TPZF2mos2MO
Most people already have their bias, they would only tune in when it was broadcasting a station they preferred
@8Z5SKCG 2mos2MO
The federal government should not be allowed to dictate to us what is news and isn't. As we have seen in the last election, the federal government used their authority to censor news that could have potentially been harmful to a candidate. Also, the federal government already has several means of providing the American people, and in larger aspects the world, with public news. With such things as: C-span, NPR, Free Europe, and others. Many of these radios and tv networks fall into the heavy left leaning views, stifling the voices of conservatives. C-Span is the only non-bias news site, that is not watched or loved by anyone. People want bias news, if they didn't it wouldn't exist today. The federal government should withdraw all money from news sites, outside of C-Span, and let private industries and citizens dictate what is news.
@9L4SX342mos2MO
The public might trust it more if their news would come from the government.
@9L4S6CS2mos2MO
The government should not have influence over public media
@9L4S3DW2mos2MO
I don't believe the general public will care much as most news outlets are already biased.

If the state had a significant role in the music industry, how might that change the variety and content of the music you listen to?
@88YT2FZ 4mos4MO
Music is art, and there is much of art I don’t understand, agree with, or like. However, you cannot control someone’s artistic desires by something as cumbersome and unwieldy as “government”. Specific regulations like “no pornography in public museums” are fine, but a state can’t “take control” over art, let alone music, without smothering it.
@9JSG47HLibertarian4mos4MO
It might be more localized bands or singers. The state would probably only know local artists.
@9JSF7NV4mos4MO
It would be a lot less progressive since opposition of the government or any form of government could be flagged.
@9JSFBLM4mos4MO
it will show a demographics of genres but also division becausde alot of people mix up genres
@ISIDEWITH4mos4MO
If the government could regulate the tech industry, in what ways do you think your digital privacy and access to information might change?
The government will have more access to my private information.
@9JC6N6S4mos4MO
i think a lot more information could be easily hidden from us
@9JB4LCHRepublican4mos4MO
I think the government would regulate our technology use to an extent that we could become isolated from other parts of the world, being oblivious and unaware of global matters.
@ISIDEWITH2mos2MO
Do you think that state control over housing development could positively or negatively affect community cohesion?
@9LGN4XM2mos2MO
I think it is up to the state to handle housing so yes Dirigisme however a strong role states play in housing, I think it is important.
@9LGN3GW2mos2MO
I think it would have a greater positive impact on cohesion.
@9LGMXY82mos2MO
I have no idea but I would remove this question if I were in charge.
@ISIDEWITH3mos3MO
Can government direction in social media protect users from misinformation or would it infringe on free speech?
@9KZTQ6K3mos3MO
It would most likely get out of hand and infringe on free speech.
@9L3FB78Independent2mos2MO
What they're doing with Tiktok shows the inability to give a good trial with logical questioning and evidence.
@9KZTTYC3mos3MO
I think they shouldn't and it would effect a persons free speech
@9KZTMKC3mos3MO
I think it would it would give the wrong message out and confuse all the other people.
@ISIDEWITH6mos6MO
If the government had a significant role in media production, how do you think that would shape public opinion and culture?
@9HK862D6mos6MO
They already do have a huge role in media production they control the media so its a dumb question.
@9HK86RC6mos6MO
it would become an outlet for the government to sway our opinions on social and political issues, therefore allowing the government to control us in a way.
@9HK84KS6mos6MO
I think it will change many peoples opinions because the media can lie.
@ISIDEWITH6mos6MO
How confident are you that the government could effectively manage and reduce poverty through economic planning?
@9HK8NLC6mos6MO
I feel they have no interest in doing such. It has been proven that the government doesn't care for reducing poverty. Just look at what happend in San Francisco before the world leader meeting.
@9HK8K7H6mos6MO
I don't think that it can reduce poverty, especially now as the population increases.
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
Do you think it's fair for a government to choose how much professionals in various fields should earn?
@9HV3SW85mos5MO
The government should stay out of a free market system. It can only do harm and butcher an autonomous system.
@9HV3NVRRepublican5mos5MO
No, it should be up to the employer to decide that, as long as it is within reason for them to be paid that much.
@9HV3YKP5mos5MO
I don't think that is fair, as some people have prepared more and have a better background than others, and also there could be unfair treatment to others.
